Winner of the Visual Arts Award at the Urbis Best of Manchester Awards
held at Urbis, the ‘Museum of the City’, during the Manchester
International Festival.

Peter Saville. Awards presented were for Visual Arts, Fashion and
Music. Other nominees for the Visual Arts Award were Robert Bailey and
Michael England.

take back everything I said about the work being unperformable.” Your

Awards ceremony.

RIP George Melly. George, who had just given the project his blessing, sadly passed away on the night of the awards.…
2008 There
has been significant interest in performing the work in the US and UK.
Negotiations are still at an early stage so we can't say too much at
this point in time – but watch this space for updates!
